Art has the ability to heal and through the process, expression through image, music, writing, movement can help us heal and integrate past wounds and traumas into resiliency. This show featured work from arists around KC that have found visual art a significant healing modality. My works “You Can’t Have My Body” and “Suturing the Wound” are including. These works are expressions of emotions of the process of healing from sexual assault and rape and the outrage that women’s health is under attack. “Suturing” focuses on healing the heart wound and grief.
