Textile and found object collaged heart making utilting mixed media with varying simple embroidery stitches encompassing releasing emotional pain and loss and finding wholeness. Guided imagery, writing activity, gentle, accessible movement and sound are apart of this workshop. 30.00. This workshop is limited to 8 people. Supplies:

A selection of fabrics and ribbon will be provided as will pencils, tag board for heart shapes and some heart shape tracing stencils, writing paper, however please bring your own fabric scraps and the following items to personalize your heart.

Bring:

• 2, 8x8 or 4x4 inch squares of muslin (one is just in case there’s an oops) - some precut muslin hearts will be provided

• a selection of colors of threads and embroidery thread

• your sewing scissors!

• pins and needles for sewing

• heat and bond (optional- an iron will available for use)

• a waterbottle or cup for your personal hydration

• 1-3 small found objects that your like to incorporate into the heart for personal meaning.
